It's
not often that I am able to take some personal time to go out
and shoot just for myself -- for fun, if you will. When I do,
I carry quite an arsenal of equipment that includes three different
formats of cameras -- 35mm, medium format, and digital (and my
trusty disposable camera). I never know what I'll find of photographic
interest at my destination or what the situation will be when
I arrive. It's better to be safe than sorry.
In the case of the images linked to the Thumbnails below, I had all three camera types set up to record these images, but there's something about the digital recording format that makes recording nighttime scenes so much easier than when using film. Although the digital image is completely different in quality and design than that of film, it is still fun to use the convenience of my digi for some of the scenes I capture. I also captured these same scenes using my other two formats.
I hope you enjoy the PDF enlargements in a bug-free environment, unlike what I went through trying to stay ahead of the mosquitoes and no-see-ums during each of this sampling of one night's 3-hour shoot from this one location.
Patience.
