The Don Cesar Hotel on St. Pete Beach is one of Florida's most historic landmarks -- it is also quite difficult to photograph. The image you are about to see is comprised of five separate negatives exposed from a single pivot point located toward the left of the scene. What may appear to be distortion or a leaning effect in this photo is actually an optical illusion caused by pivoting my camera for each exposure from one end of the hotel (located near the left end) rather than centering my tripod with the hotel's center.

I came upon this scene after a completely different late-night shoot further south. By mistake, I took the wrong highway exit which in turn reminded me that The Don wasn't very far away from my mis-location. So, I took advantage of the error by extending my detour, and I'm glad I did.
