This image was composed using fully manual camera settings to ISO 160 using 1/20 sec. handheld and the lens set to f/16 on the new FujiFilm S5 Pro using the 17-50mm lens set at 17mm. Zone Focusing was applied and the OriJen Exposure System was used to select the aperture. This image was captured on December 11, 2007 near Bushnell, FL at 0830h on a very heavily fogged morning. The sun was just starting to evaporate the fog and provided just under 10 minutes to capture this gift. While this image is stored as a digital file I also shot the same composition using a Fujica GW690 with the 65mm f/5.6 lens fitted with a wide-angle adapter onto Kodak Portra VC 160 6x9mm film that increased the viewing angle to that of a 21mm lens equivalent on a 35mm camera. The exposure by the GW690 was the same as with the S5 camera and lens, however the captured image will include more image both top to bottom, including some beautiful lantanas along the ground just in front of the fence. Another version of this scene was captured in the horizontal framing that shows much more image off to the left of the foggy scene.

No manipulation other than the settings in the camera were made to this scene, just eyeball to viewfinder for the composition. This photograph is the first image I captured with the new S5 set completely on Program without any other adjustments than those set at the factory -- "Out of the Box" settings because I didn't want the camera to explode should I have done something wrong. I did manually set the 17-50mm zoom lens to 17mm for this composition but left the Factory ISO set to 400. The scene is the Dunedin Marina in Dunedin, FL about 30 minutes past sunset on December 10, 2007. With the sunset quickly leaving with its beauty I was not able to capture this same scene with any other camera or lens inasmuch as I certainly wanted to do so; I already miss not having a medium format film version of this unique scene.
