Due to popular demand, TPC has compiled the easiest and most direct approach to both teaching and learning how to be productive with your interest in photography. Until now, most camera owners have been faced with either trying to understand his or her Owner's Manual (a feat unto itself), waste time and money trying to learn 'on their own', or attending week after week classes that can impose upon anyone's daily family life. Well, not any more. To see a brief introduction to each Beginner's Series Book, please click on each Book's thumbnail below- the introductions are in Adobe PDF format, and should automatically launch your Adobe Acrobat Reader, Version 5 or newer. If you have difficulty displaying these PDF files, you can get Adobe's latest Free Reader from the link at the bottom of this page. If you already have the latest version, you may need to Refresh your browser screen once each sample file has downloaded. Also for convenience, we have added a link at the bottom of this page for ordering these three Books as a set. Even though we named these Books as our Lecture Series, each Book is an easy to read and learn comprehensive approach to make your photography fun, less time consuming, and more rewarding than ever. Plus, with our unlimited Email Support, you'll have access to TPC wherever you are, with whatever questions you may have along the way; we're here to help. And chances are, we've visited the locations (or some place similar) about which you may have questions. TPC's Lecture Series, comprised of 3 Books (about 100 pages each), starts you or your student(s) with learning Artistic Composition without the math! Really, the single-most fear of the average beginning photography student is having to remember all the new numbers and where they go and when to use them.
And parents, take note! TPC's Visual Composition Book is the perfect way for your child to discover his or her interest in photography; this book is designed to teach the most important foundations of photographic technique you or your child needs in order to add more fun and excitement to life. Books II and III can then be introduced at any time as you or your child wants to progress. Don't forget to click on TPC's Email Support Tab for more supportive information.
Book I of TPC's Lecture Series shows
you all the tips and tricks to Visual Artistic Composition
without having to learn any photographic math; you will
soon learn what takes professionals years to learn in order to
make a living, or just a great photograph. We know all the secrets
and will pass them along to you as your photography skill level
improves. Vacationers will appreciate how easy it is to make all
those vacation pictures a true joy to view time and time again
- without the rolled-back eyes and questioning glances. Also,
budding photographers (like me when I was seven years old) will
find that Book I of the Lecture Series is an easy to learn method
of impressing his or her friends with new-found artistic abilities.
Book
II of TPC's Lecture Series involves a bit
of math, but introduces it at a point where most students are
experienced enough to want this extra information; the student
is ready to move on. Controlling Your Compositions contains
descriptive lessons on Apertures and Depth of Field, and Shutter
Speeds and Action; everything is explained in ways that allow
you, the teacher, or you, the student, to understand the what's
and why's of how to make your perfect compositions excel.
And all this is explained in ways that provide a concise understanding
of how to add drama or the need for speed in your photographs.
And yes, again, a little math is required, but you can take either
of two routes in TPC's Lecture Series Book II: The
easy way, which is the way most students want to try first, or
the complete way, which you can come back to time after time as
you are perfecting your photographic style. TPC is very accommodating
when it comes to doing what we do best - teaching you how to paint
with light.
Speaking
of which, TPC's Lecture Series Book III is all about
discovering how to make Light work for You. Now that you
are more comfortable with recognizing what is good and what is
best from the composition you see in your viewfinder, it is time
to apply your talents against those of Mother Nature. When you
know it is too early or too late in the day for capturing your
scene, you can still find other subjects to photograph until the
light is right for your primary subject. Not only does
TPC help you recognize daylight and its intricacies, you are also
prepared for those nighttime shots you have dreamed about capturing.
And if your electronic flash scares you now, you can rest assured
that TPC will release the harbinger of underexposed flash photos;
you will become ready to take on most any task involving not only
your electronic flash, but using your flash along with Mother
Nature's help at the same time.
TPC's Lecture Series for Beginners and Vacationers was initially designed as three logical introductory lectures for large groups of sprouting photographers wanting to hear what they wanted to hear, but in an organized fashion; they wanted it all, and they wanted it with as little effort as possible. TPC took on the challenge and found success in the product we call our Lecture Series. We've taken the best and the most profound excerpts from our Photographic Techniques Books I & II, along with over 35 new photographs by Tom Jenkins as examples, new chapters and text (over 71,000 words of wisdom and experience), and put together a logical interactive classroom or home-study environment designed to take no more than 8 hours to complete. Of course, the time you take practicing, experimenting, investigating, and exploring is your own time; you can come back to the Lecture Series anytime you wish.
Or you can take it with you because these, just like all of TPC's Books, are camera bag friendly; each Book is formatted to neatly fit in the back pocket of most any camera bag. TPC's Lecture Series are perfect for people on-the-go who want to occupy his or her small bits of free time by perfecting their photographic technique skills. Our Lecture Series is also great for travelers and RV owners who want to take advantage of those learning opportunities during some of those not-so-interesting times between travel destinations.
If you are a teacher, you can use TPC's Lecture Series for just that - teaching a class on photography. If you want to get serious with your teaching, TPC suggests you investigate its Teacher Lesson Plans where you will find not only what the Lecture Series teaches, but what the entire Photographic Techniques, Book I releases, as well.
